VOLOTEA TAKES OFF FOR ALGIERS AND CONSOLIDATES ITS GROWTH IN FRANCE

The airline is expanding its range of flights out of Bordeaux with a new route to Algiers

Volotea will launch this new route on 23 December 2021, running one flight per week, with 30,000 seats per year.

Press release, 25 November 2021 – Volotea, the airline of European regional capitals, will start operating flights to Algeria in December, operating two routes from its bases in Marseille and Bordeaux with approximately 100,000 seats, thereby consolidating its growth in France.

Starting from 23 December 2021, Volotea will add Algiers to its list of destinations from Bordeaux-Mérignac airport. The airline will run one flight per week with 30,000 seats per year on this route.

The new route will come into operation on 23 December 2021, adding to the 21 routes already available from Bordeaux airport.

The airline has operated a fleet of 40 aircraft in summer 2021 versus 36 in 2019. In terms of volume, Volotea and has increased its seat capacity by up to 111% compared to summer 2019.

Volotea employs over 1,350 staff across Europe and was the most active airline in Summer 2020 among its main competitors in activity, seat-load factor, operational levels and customer satisfaction.
