Volotea, the preferred airline for small and medium-sized cities throughout Europe, has achieved a remarkable feat by securing the title of Europe’s Leading Low-Cost Airline in 2024 at the esteemed World Travel Awards. This prestigious recognition reaffirms Volotea's standing as a leader in the European aviation industry, as Volotea has won the title in 2021, 2022 and 2024 editions of this prize.

Volotea won, for a second consecutive year, the award for "Leading European Low-Cost Airline" at the 2022 World Travel Awards. This recognition marked Volotea's second nomination and award in this category. This awards program was established in 1993 with the aim of recognizing and celebrating excellence across all sectors of the global travel and tourism industry.

Volotea, the airline specialized in connecting small and mid-sized European cities, was honored with the award for Europe's Leading Low-Cost Airline at the 2021 World Travel Awards, the most prestigious accolades in the industry recognizing excellence in global travel and tourism. This recognition marked Volotea's debut in the “Europe's Leading Low-Cost Airline” category, where it competed against other prominent industry players. The World Travel Awards, dubbed the "Oscars of the travel industry" by the Wall Street Journal and other major media outlets, were established in 1993.

In 2021, Volotea’s website clinched two Gold Winner titles at the renowned Indigo Design Awards. The victory comes in the highly competitive "UX, Interface & Navigation" category, solidifying Volotea's commitment to revolutionizing the digital travel experience and also in “Website design” category.

This recognition from the Indigo Design Awards highlights Volotea's dedication to innovation and excellence in digital design. It underscores the airline's position as a frontrunner in delivering exceptional user experiences within the travel industry.

Volotea mobile app was honored to receive the Silver Winner title in the "Apps" category at the Indigo Design Awards 2021. 

Renowned for its user-centric approach and seamless functionality, the Volotea app has captivated judges with its intuitive design and outstanding user experience. From effortless flight bookings to convenient travel management tools, the app redefines the way users interact with air travel services. 

Volotea was the fifth most punctual low cost airline in Europe during the month of December 2017, when 3,200 flights were operated. Volotea’s on-time arrival performance rate reached 80%, according to the monthly statistics published by the leading US-based independent airline consultant agency FlightStats.com.

Volotea was selected by TripAdvisor Travellers' Choice 2017 as the best airline with a base in France, Italy and Spain in the “Europe Regional and Low Cost” category. 

Out of the list of ten shortlisted airlines, Trip Advisor’s customers have included four UK based and mainly UK market oriented LCCs, and one in Russia, Norway, Greece, Germany and Malta. Volotea stands out as the only one low-cost carrier from an European South West country. Overall, Volotea ranked in position seven, according to TripAdvisor Travellers' Choice.
