Maintenance Training Internship

Volotea is the newest and fastest-growing low-cost airline in Europe, focused on connecting medium and small-sized European cities. We launched in April 2012, and have transported 20 million passengers in over five years of operation, with a modern fleet, which is currently made of Boeing 717 and Airbus 319.

Volotea headquarters are located in Barcelona, Spain, being its principal markets Italy, France, Spain and Greece. Our operational bases are Italy (Venice, Palermo, Verona, Genoa & Cagliari), France (Nantes, Bordeaux, Strasbourg, Toulouse and Marseille), Spain (Asturias & Bilbao) and Greece (Athens).

We are looking for a Maintenance Training Internship, who is used to interact in different cultural environments, and who wants to work in a challenging high-growth environment.

The work place is Barcelona headquarters.

The position will report directly to the Maintenance Quality Manager and Maintenance Manager.

Profile:

- Student in Aeronautical Management Degree or similar

- General aviation regulation knowledge

- Advanced organizational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments.

- Fluent English and Spanish both written and spoken.

- Outlook and intermediate excel knowledge.

- Preferable knowledge of EASA Regulations and previous experience in CAMO, Maintenance or Operations Departments will be considered a plus.

- Preferable hand-on experience coordinating multiple training events.

- Preferable Experience with e-learning platforms.

Capabilities:

- Prepare annual training program.

- Schedule and coordinate EASA Part 145, EASA Part M and internal trainings, both on-site and online.

- Coordinate provider’s creation and payment process with Financial Department.

- Training database update.

- Aircraft Maintenance Licenses paperwork coordination with AESA.

- Periodic report of training status to Managers and Directors.

- Provide administrative support to the Maintenance Quality Department.

OPS Projects Intern

We are looking for an Operational Projects Analyst Intern who can interact in different cultural environments, and who wants to work in a challenging high-growth environment and in a multidisciplinary role. After the internship and in case of top performance position would turn into an open-end contract.

The work place is Barcelona headquarters.

The position will report directly to the Corporate Strategy & PMO Director

Profile:

- Top 20% academic records – grades are required to submit application

- Proficient analytical skills, ability to code and work with large databases is a strong plus

- Proficiency in written and spoken English is a must, knowledge of Spanish, Italian and/or French is a plus

- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Engineering and/or Maths

- Strong interest in aviation, digital tools, big data…

- Dynamic/proactive person, able to roll up its sleeves and provide hands on support as well as “make things happen”

- Fast learner and willing to receive continuous feedback working with top-notch team

- Very Structured and organized

- Good knowledge of Office suite is necessary (especially MS Excel). Coding knowledge for big databases is a strong plus.

- Ability of writing macros in Excel VBA is a plus. Experience in project management and project management tools (such as MS Office Planner, MS Project) is a plus. Knowledge of Tableau is a plus.

Capabilities:

- Data analysis to support strategy decision in operational transformational projects

- Analytical support to areas in decision making

- Value stream mapping to improve and automatize procedures with implementation of new digital/big data tools. Automatization of semi-manual tools

- Support PMO Manager in project profiling, timeline definition and tracking

- Identify implementation risks and define corrective actions

- Provide hands on support in specific PMO projects

- Potential of full ownership of some projects based on merit
