It seems impossible for one single city to be home to so many incredibly varied and unique monuments and sites of stunning beauty, such as the Giralda bell tower, the Cathedral, the Royal Alcázar, the Torre del Oro, Plaza de España, María Luisa Park, the Santa Cruz District, the City Hall, the Dueñas Palace, the Macarena Basilica, the Museum of Fine Arts, the Triana district, the courtyards, the balconies and railings, as well as a whole host of churches, monasteries and hidden gems which turn the historic centre into an open air museum. When you add in its bars, its cuisine, its fiestas and the friendliness and hospitality of its people, you have a city teeming with colour, drama, light, music, joy, tradition and modernity that is hard to match.
