In the course of 2016 the carrier will be on sale in Genoa with 269,500 tickets, distributed on more than 2,150 flights (+ 30% vs 2015) to which they will add the new routes to be launched after the opening of the base.
"We see great potential in Genoa - continues Muñoz -. Thanks to the presence of our aircrafts, we will offer to the passengers who choose to take off or land in Genoa an even wider range of destinations and schedules. We are also glad to contribute to the development of the local economy through the creation of numerous new jobs”, has concluded Carlos Muñoz.
"We are proud that Volotea has chosen our airport as a fourth base in Italy and we are grateful to the airline for the confidence in our airport and in Liguria. Having a base means having a higher number of flights, more destinations and more convenient schedules. All this without forgetting the implications for employment, with dozens of new jobs that will cover professional high-profile members such as pilots, crews and technicians. Today’s are great news that requires us to work to allow Volotea to reap the benefits of this investment in our territory to take advantage of increasing (and more comfortable) connections”, says Marco Arato, President of Airport Genoa SpA.
